Tickets are $7 and may be purchased at the school between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. today and tomorrow, and at the door.

The high school's level one through four dance classes, dance for the athlete classes, dance ensemble, dance company, alumni and other guests will perform.

Many of the dances have been choreographed by students, including one by Nate Hunt that was the only student-choreographed dance performed at the Maryland High School Dance Showcase. Mr. Hunt has also choreographed a tribute to the victims of Sept. 11, 2001, that will be performed in the show.

Derek Dunn, 13, will be among the guest performers. Derek recently won the International Ballet Youth Grand Prix in New York.

Other featured guests include American dance artist Ashley Canterna and the Edna Lee Dance Studio Teen and Senior Competition Group.

More than 300 Glen Burnie High students will participate in the show, many of whom have also received recognition for their accomplishments in dance outside of the school's program.

Basket bingo

The Church of the Crucifixion, 100 Scott Ave., will host a basket bingo on Saturday.

The doors will open at 4:45 p.m., the games will start at 6:15 p.m.

Tickets are $15 in advance, or $20 at the door.

In addition to regular games, the event will feature special games, raffles, King Tuts and a game that can only be played by donating nonperishable food items.

Refreshments will be sold.

Filled Longaberger baskets will be given as prizes.

Northbound rocks

North Arundel Church's Saturday Night Live Coffeehouse will feature a performance by the band "Northbound" on Saturday.

The doors will open at 7 p.m. and the performance begin at about 7:30 p.m.

There is no charge for admission, coffee or the concert. Other foods will be sold.

Northbound is a Maryland-based "Indie" band that plays original Christian music featuring the classic rock sounds of the 70s and 80s.

The church is located at 7610 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd.
