Junior pitcher Heather Brown was in playoff form, tossing a complete-game two-hitter with 15 strikeouts, as third-seeded Northeast triumphed over No. 14 Reservoir.
Northeast (16-5) will host sixth-seeded Long Reach at 4 p.m. today in a Class 3A East Region quarterfinal.
Junior Lizzy Wedell drove in three runs with a pair of base hits, and sophomore Brittany Emge walked three times and scored twice. Senior Miranda Marvel, along with Brown and junior Bethany Harrington, all singled as the hosts managed only five hits.
"We came out a little flat today," Northeast coach Kenny Miller said. "But luckily, Heather didn't."

BROADNECK 8, NORTH COUNTY 0: Sophomore pitcher Kourtney Salvarola was active on both sides of the field, throwing a complete game two-hitter with 11 strikeouts, while adding a home run and two RBIs, as the third-seeded Bruins won the Class 4A East Region quarterfinal over the sixth-seeded Knights.
Seniors Corie Sietler and sophomore Diana Naylor both had two hits and two RBIs and senior Lauren Battista chipped in with two hits and an RBI. Erica Stephenson added a base hit and two RBIs. Sophomore Ashley Thomas contributed a single and an RBI.
Sophomore Renee Fisher had one of the North County hits and junior Karlee Martini suffered the loss. The Knights finished the season 11-10.
ARUNDEL 1, LEONARDTOWN 0: Sophomore ace Kayla Martinez tossed eight shutout innings as her Wildcats eliminated the visiting Raiders via international tie-breaker in the quarterfinals of the 4A East regionals.
Martinez notched 14 strikeouts, allowing just two hits, and junior Amanda Hedgepeth led the Wildcats at the plate with two hits including a double.
Sophomore Caitlin Palmieri drove in the winning run for Arundel with a line-drive single to right field.
"They persevered. The girls believed in each other and themselves," Wildcats coach Alison Grava said. "This is a quality group of girls."
The winner of Severna Park at Chesapeake tomorrow will play the Wildcats in Thursday's 4A East semifinals.

CENTENNIAL 15, ANNAPOLIS 0: Junior Jessica Boucek gave up only one earned run for the Panthers in the 3A East first-round contest.
Senior Erin Delaney recorded the only hit for Annapolis, a single.
Junior Meg Tucker pitched five scoreless innings for Centennial and struck out eight Panthers.
Annapolis ended the season with a 4-15 overall record, but coach Valerie Rhodes was proud of her team's effort.
"Honestly, they have come a long way and did really, really well overall," she said. "I still consider this a successful season."
GLEN BURNIE 6, SOUTH RIVER 0: It was the tale of two Ericas for the Gophers as they eliminated the hosting Seahawks in the first round of the 4A East regionals.
Erica Kinney pitched a three-hit shutout, highlighted by 11 strikeouts, while catcher Erica Richards went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI for Glen Burnie.
Leadoff hitter Heather Arrington was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Glen Burnie, which advances to play at Thomas Stone tomorrow for the 4A East quarterfinals.
