Southern, now 8-6, will travel to Queen Anne's today at 6 p.m. to decide the Class 2A-1A East Region championship.
Senior Cara Manas and junior Kimmy Wayson were both credited with hat tricks, while senior Libby Sancomb recorded the only assist.
Junior goalkeeper Anne Shepherd turned aside seven shots to seal the win.

Severna Park (17-0) will host Broadneck/Leonardtown for the region title at 7 p.m. tonight.
Junior Jaci Gassaway added two goals and three assist in the winning effort, while senior Katie Cloud and sophomore Sarah Lloyd also accounted for two goals. Seniors Hayley Rausch and Allison Behringer, along with Farrell, all were credited with an assist each.
Junior Stephanie Peterson tallied two goals for South River, which ended the season at 14-3. Senior Ali Mattingly and sophomore Brooke Griffin both toseed in a goal each.
BROADNECK 19, LEONARDTOWN 3: Senior Kari-Ellen Johnson had five goals and five assists while sophomore Megan Eshelman added two goals and four assists as the visiting Bruins knocked off top-seeded Leaonardtown in a 4A-3A East region semifinal.
Broadneck travels to Severna Park tonight for the region championship.
Sophomore Courtney Tomchik added three goals for Broadneck, followed by junor Shannon Hanratty with a goal and four assists and junior Chelsea Thompson with two goals and two assists. Junior Kasey Howard made seven saves.
