| Woman dies in SUV rollover A 50-year-old Pasadena woman was killed Thursday night when her SUV rolled over on Ritchie Highway, police and fire officials said. Kristine Ann Moore suffered "extensive" head and neck injuries in the 10:39 p.m. wreck in Severna Park.
Capt. Harry Steiner, a fire department spokesman, said she was taken by ambulance to Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Police said Mrs. Moore was driving her 2001 Toyota Land Cruiser north near Whites Road when she drifted off the right side of the road. The SUV hit a guardrail, spun around 180-degrees and then rolled over.
Capt. Steiner said it took firefighters more than 20 minutes to cut Mrs. Moore from the wreckage.
Paramedics initially planned to fly Mrs. Moore to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, but she went into cardiac arrest during the extrication, he said.
The cause of the wreck is under investigation. Police said there is no evidence that excessive speed contributed to the crash. |
