When members of Patapsco Valley AARP Chapter 3850 gather for their meeting Wednesday, they will have a speaker who promises to be mesmerizing.

Don Peterson will discuss the topic of hypnosis and how it works. He also will talk about how the procedure helps with weight loss, smoking, stress and other ailments, the chapter said in its announcement of the meeting.

Chapter members will meet at noon Wednesday for a social hour and refreshments. Mr. Peterson's talk will begin at 12:45 p.m. The meeting will be at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 116 Marydell Road.
