Severn man killed on BW Parkway

GREENBELT - Authorities have identified both men killed in a double fatal crash Thursday morning on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

Ronald Wayne Meader, 48, of Severn, who was driving a motorcycle, was killed in the accident, along with Leroy Tyler, 60, of Washington, D.C., who was driving a Mitsubishi Laser.

The multi-vehicle crash occurred when a sedan crossed the median into the southbound lanes shortly after 5 a.m. near Powder Mill Road. Several vehicles were involved in the accident. The parkway was shut down until about 10:30 a.m.
