Man shot in hand by armed robber

GLEN BURNIE - A man was shot in the hand while wresting a gun from a robber Sunday, county police said.

The man told police he was stopped in the 8000 block of Green Orchard Road at just before noon, when two men walked up to the passenger side of his car, pointed a semi-automatic handgun at him, and demanded money.

He said he tried to grab the gun from one of the robbers and was shot in the middle finger of his right hand.

He was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for treatment of his injury.
