As area kids complete the first of 42 weeks of a new school year, local public schools will offer PTA and back-to-school programs designed to give parents the information needed for their child's educational success.

The following is a list of area public school programs for the beginning of the 2008-09 school year.

Old Mill High School, 600 Patriot Lane, will hold its back-to-school program at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the auditorium.
