| | Brooklyn Park: School's closing results in school goods flea market

The St. John Christian Day School has had to close down after 50 years due to the financial burden of rising maintenance and staffing costs, according to a message on its Web site. Perfectly timed for back-to-school purposes, St. John Lutheran Church, 226 Washburn Ave., will hold an indoor flea market of assorted school items from 8 to 1 p.m. Saturday. Teachers, homeschoolers, parents and others can enjoy browse two floors filled with school items, including children's literature, games, puzzles, textbooks, workbooks and teacher resource materials.
